This is a Work in Progress, the intention of which is inform the reader of the wonders an area has to offer – wherever it may be – while, simultaneously, and hopefully, also providing some entertainment and reading pleasure.

From home base, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean – from whence the site name stems – our trips are planned and undertaken with the primary objectives being enjoyment and enrichment.

Most of the initial accounts will be of attractions within the Western Cape. However, the intention is to expand these to include all our visits to areas of interest and beauty.
